Lost bank card contact details
UK personal bank account contacts for lost and stolen cards
Many of us have experienced panic and worry due to a lost or stolen credit card or debit card. We've put together this directory of UK banks and card providers in case you need to contact them in an emergency. Use the search field above to find your card provider.
Remember to report your debit card or credit card as lost or stolen to your provider or bank as quickly as possible and ensure it gets blocked. If you use online banking or a banking app, you may be able to stop or freeze your card by logging in. If you are struggling to contact your card provider, you can use the Visa lost or stolen card help page or the Mastercard lost or stolen card help page. They may be able to assist you and cancel your cards for you. They have both UK national and international telephone numbers you can call; this may be particularly helpful if you are abroad. We also have an emergency directory for business current Lost and stolen card contacts: Business accounts.
If you have lost your phone or it's been stolen, contact your network provider immediately to lock it down. This will help avoid others, potentially accessing your apps and other data. It will also block them from making calls, texts and using up your data, especially important when you are overseas. Your network provider should also help you with the next steps to take.
Note: Although we regularly check this directory, it may on occasion contain out of date details, and we cannot guarantee that all the contact details will work. If you find anything that needs correcting or updating or want to add missing information, please let us know by contacting us. Please also note call charges may apply.
